Show must go on (hide and seek)

When you understand that everything is an illusion, everything is a big big lie.
When you understand that the game is a big big illusion and you don’t have any opponent. You play with yourself.
When the observer and the observation are not separate.
You are the one team, You are the other team, You are the ball, You are the referee, You are ground, You are the air, You are everything.
When you see your mask.
When you see other people’s mask.
When you see our society’s illusion.
When you see all illusions.
This is the right time to choose again your own mask.
This is the perfect moment to choose again your own role.
This is the perfect second to forget that you are playing just a game.
Play you new role. Be passionate about it. Give all you’ve got to play your part perfectly.
You cannot lose this game.
You will always win this game.
You can remember and relax.
and the Show must go on.
Let’s play again hide and seek.
let’s be foolish
let’s be young
let’s be purposeless
let’s be purposeful
This time I am choosing my role.
This time I am choosing my mask.
This only time
and this time
and this time
and this time
and always (this time)

  1. Quite good! I liked your bit about being both the friend and the enemy (so to speak), or being both teams at the same time while playing a game of life.

However, what is a lie? It’s not that easy to say whether lies exist or not if we haven’t any real way of knowing our destinies, or what is right and wrong, etc. so illusion and lies become paradoxical: we cannot be sure of anything; not even ourselves.

What Allen Watts says was enlightening also, which helps me to understand “purposelessness.” He also says we need to trust ourselves, but he also makes it clear that we don’t know ourselves either.

That time our play starts. And the show must go on.
